Alison Gopnik

Alison Gopnik is a developmental psychologist and philosopher at the University of California, Berkeley. She is known for pioneering work on how young children learn — causal inference, theory of mind, and the "theory theory" of cognitive development — and for connecting childhood learning to questions in artificial intelligence, framing children as the most powerful learning systems we know.
